1. Who we are
danaburgerdynasty.com (“the site”) is a private fantasy football tool operated by the commissioner of the Dana Burger Dynasty League, a 14-person Sleeper league. The site is not a commercial product, does not sell advertising, and does not resell user data. Contact: dougmwong@gmail.com.
2. What we collect
We collect only the minimum information needed to run the site:
- Email addresses, when a league member is added to the newsletter list. Provided manually by the commissioner with the member’s consent.
- Phone numbers, when a league member opts in to draft-alert SMS notifications. Provided manually by the commissioner with the member’s explicit consent and an opt-in timestamp.
- Sleeper user IDs and team information (display name, team name, roster contents, scoring history). This data is public on Sleeper’s platform and is fetched via Sleeper’s public API.
- Standard server logs, including IP addresses and request timestamps, retained by our hosting provider (Vercel) for security and debugging.
We do not use marketing cookies, advertising trackers, or third-party analytics. The site does not currently collect any other personal information.
3. How we use this information
- Email addresses are used solely to deliver newsletter updates from the league commissioner. We do not share, sell, or rent email addresses.
- Phone numbers are used solely to deliver SMS notifications when a league member is on the clock to make a draft pick, and one reminder one hour before their pick clock expires. We do not use phone numbers for marketing, promotional content, or any purpose beyond draft alerts.
- Sleeper data is used to render league standings, matchups, draft state, and historical statistics on the site.
4. SMS message terms
SMS opt-in is entirely voluntary. Providing a phone number and consenting to SMS notifications is not required to be a member of the Dana Burger Dynasty League, to participate in drafts on Sleeper, or to access any feature of danaburgerdynasty.com. League members who choose not to opt in receive the full league experience without any limitation; they simply do not receive draft-related SMS reminders.
By providing your phone number and opting in, you agree to receive SMS notifications related to active fantasy football drafts in the Dana Burger Dynasty League. Message frequency varies based on draft activity (typically two messages per pick during an active draft, with no messages outside of an active draft window). Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. Twilio, our SMS provider, immediately processes opt-out replies and you will receive no further messages. Reply HELP for help or contact the commissioner directly at dougmwong@gmail.com.
5. Service providers (subprocessors)
We rely on the following third-party services to operate the site. Each is bound by their own privacy and security commitments:
- Vercel — web hosting and serverless compute.
- Supabase — database storage for newsletter recipients, draft alert recipients, league history, and KTC value history.
- Resend — transactional email delivery for the newsletter.
- Twilio — SMS delivery for draft alerts.
- Anthropic — AI assistant used to generate weekly power-ranking writeups (no personal data is sent — only league standings, scores, and roster composition).
- Sleeper — read-only fantasy football data via their public API.
6. Data retention
Newsletter subscriber records and draft-alert recipient records are kept until the recipient unsubscribes or the commissioner removes the record. Once removed, the record is deleted from the database. Server logs are retained by Vercel per their default retention.
7. Your rights
You may at any time:
- Request a copy of all personal information we hold about you.
- Request that we correct or delete your information.
- Opt out of email by clicking the unsubscribe link in any newsletter.
- Opt out of SMS by replying
STOPto any draft-alert message.

8. Children
The site is intended for adult members of a private fantasy football league. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe we have done so in error, please contact us and we will delete the record promptly.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the most recent change. For material changes that affect how we use your data, we will notify recipients via email or SMS as appropriate.
